Zionsville, IN– Rofori Corporation is pleased to announce that Purdue University’s Polytechnic Institute, who selected Rofori to be its technology partner, has been awarded a grant from the Department of Labor to develop the Purdue Cyber Apprenticeship Program (P-CAP). P-CAP will be a scalable apprenticeship program that creates a steady pipeline of skilled cybersecurity professionals to solve employers’ workforce shortages and create a successful pathway to high-paying jobs for participants. Rofori will develop the Interactive Cybersecurity Education and Talent Portal (ICE-TP) based on its patented data communications technology, to include an aptitude assessment tool that incorporates an individual’s related instruction, industry credentials, and job competencies in accordance with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) standards, and will integrate it with an employment search engine. P-CAP and FASTPORT will use the Rofori ICE-TP tool to pre-screen interested individuals for their aptitude to work in cybersecurity, and then connect those qualified individuals to Purdue Global for enrollment in the training program at the appropriate level. P-CAP’s goal is to support the placement of 5,000+ apprentices with employers in the first four years of the program.
